Laura’s journey began with a lifelong love for water. Growing up near the coast, she spent countless hours swimming and exploring. However, her life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. “During my treatment, I made a promise to myself to swim with intention when I regained my health,” Laura recalls. This promise not only became a personal mantra but also ignited her passion to share her love for the aquatic world with others.

After earning her PADI certifications and gaining extensive experience as a swim instructor, Laura established Enchanted Swimstress with the intention of creating a welcoming environment that invites people of all ages to discover the wonders of the water—whether that’s swimming with manatees, scuba diving, or embracing their inner mermaid.
